The 2016 Halloween weekend is packed full of event from family activities for the young ones through an adult night of Mayhem. Here is the run down and links to the over 10 events and activities happening (most are FREE) this weekend.

Chick or Treat

Mt. Dora Christian Academy is holding its annual Chick or Treat. The PTA is hosting a Chicken Dinner, which is a great way to start a family evening around town. Dinner prices are $9.00 for adults & students and children under 10 $6.00 and includes: juicy crispy fried chicken, delicious veggies, a toasty hot dinner roll, a sweet dessert, and refreshing drink.
Children can treat or treat at school group sponsored booths.

The Mt. Dora Parks and Recreation is hosting Spooktaular Bash family event, for children 12 and under, in Donnelly Park. FREE Event is from 6PM – 8PM. 7th Annual Trunk or Treat

Oct. 29th, is the Mt. Dora Art Center’s Halloween Bash! Come out and create art with instructors in costumes. Come dressed-up or not and also receive candy and cookies!
The art events will take place from 10 am to 12 pm every Saturday in October and are intended to give children knowledge of art concepts through art the activities selected each week. The weekly classes will present a variety of artistic projects in a fun way that will help children increase their confidence; improve their communication and problem solving skills. The objective of the program is to create meaningful change in the lives of children through an art program taking place in their neighborhood
Monster Splash Seaplane Fly-In
The Tavares Monster Splash Seaplane Fly-In will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in Wooton Park and the Tavares Seaplane Base. Come join the fun and watch as pilots begin arriving at 9:00 a.m. to take part in competitions featuring a shortest takeoff run pumpkin bomb drop contest, accuracy power off landing contest and spot landing contest. Fall is in the air! Come down to Ferran Park on October 29, 2016 for the Eustis, Florida – America’s Hometown Fall Festival! Free Pony Rides, Bounce Houses, Pumpkin Painting, Games and Much More!! 3 to 6 p.m. with a Costume Contest beginning at 4:30 p.m.!
