Farmer’s Markets are an adventure. You never know what fresh fruits and veggies you’ll discover, interesting people you might meet, and incredible businesses you never knew about.
For me, venturing to the farmer’s market is a full morning experience. I love it all. There are several different Farmer’s Markets happen throughout the week within Central Florida communities. Join me out and about, as I explore the Winter Garden Farmer’s Market.
The Winter Garden Farmer’s Market is held Saturdays 9am-2PM in historic downtown Winter Garden, FL. This market has a HUGE variety of vendors – locally grown produce and baked goods, fresh herbs, homemade soaps and fresh flowers, and sweets and savories. As well as handmade jewelry, clothing, home decor, and stationary. Shopping at Farmer’s Markets help support your community and its small businesses.
Our first load of produce! My husband was able to find all he needed for the week’s juicing recipes. FYI we spent under $10. A farmer’s market can be very budget friendly, especially when clean healthy eating is a priority.
At farmer’s markets you get to meet different business owners and try their products. I love celebrating entrepreneurship and the person(s) who has the courage to take an idea and bring it to the market place. Understand that the final product that you see, took lots of time (sometimes years) to perfect, personal financial investment, and the willingness to do whatever it takes because they believe in what they are doing. So I take time to listen and test it. It may not be something I need right now, but I do listen and support.
I would encourage you to also take some time to stroll the shopping district or how about cycling on the West Orange Bike Trail. Whatever you do, get out and about to explore your community and the surrounding areas, there is a lot explore.
SIDE NOTE: Around Mount Dora was launched to write about how I really live, enjoy the businesses, and get to know the people and merchants that we meet. This was not a paid sponsored blog post.
