Happy Fall Y’all!  Time to get outside to explore corn mazes, hunt for the perfect pumpkin in local patches, and take an adventure on the farm.  We have some great local  choices for your family and friends.

Long & Scott’s Corn Maze

Long and Scott Farms, 26216 County Road 448A in Mount Dora, for over the past 14 years have created an amazing family experience.   Families and groups can make a day of all the activities –  7-acre corn maze, “Cornfusion” 3 acre tree maze,  hayrides that travels throughout the farm, a 40 x 67 foot jumping pillow, zip lines for kids, a 60 foot super slide, a kids play area, catch/release fishing for kids, pumpkin patch, shopping at the general store, and dining at Scott’s Country Café. The latest addition is an amazing new playground.

The 2017 Corn Maze!

The farm is open September 30th – Dec 10th.  Saturdays 10am-5pm and  Sundays 1PM-5PM. Cost is $12 for adults, $12 for children ages 3-16 and kids under 3 are free. The farm offers discounts for veterans and scouts. For information, go to

Santa’s Farm – A Lot of Pumpkins Patch

santas-farm-lot-of-pumpkin-patch-400At first you think of Santa’s Farm is for Christmas trees, but in October they celebrate with A Lot Of Pumpkins weekend events.  Admission, parking, and the petting zoo are free.

The horse and pony ride, hay ride, bounce pillow, kiddie barrel cart ride,  400 feet long zip line,  and 200 feet long junior zip operate on a $2.00 ticket system.

You can shop for a pumpkin, purchase tools from the gift shop, and learn carving techniques.  Each pumpkin is priced individually based on size.

Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest is open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. For information, go to

Stanley Pond Farm Pumpkin Patch Celebration



Set out for the greatest outdoor adventure at an amazing family owned Stanley Pond Farm, 15426 County Road 48, Astatula, FL,  where they encourage families to come play for a day in an incredible country setting. Club Lake Plantation Fall Festival

Club Lake Plantation, 3403 Rock Springs Road, Apopka, FL,  is a 43 acre lakefront haven with breathtaking scenery. Each year the family celebrates Club Lake Plantation Fall festival, sponsored by Randy Suggs Inc.

This years activities include, but not limited to, two hay rides, corn maze, toddler maze, pumpkin patch, Country Store, play structures, high strikers, football area, basketball area, baseball area, The Cow Wash, and much more! Pumpkin chunkin’ and tennis ball launching from an air cannon are also available.


The 2017 Fall Festival will be open 6 days a week, between the hours of 10am – 6pm. The play/activity area will close at 5pm. The Country Store and Pumpkin Patch will remain open until 6pm. We will be CLOSED ON MONDAYS.

Pricing:  MONDAY – THURSDAY is $8.95 per person.   FRIDAY * SATURDAY * SUNDAY is $13.95 per person.

Children ages 2 (toddler) and under are FREE.

The Royal Pumpkin Limited



Trains to Farmer Brown’s pumpkin patch will be departing this October. Enjoy a 75-minute excursion, including a stop at Farmer Brown’s.  Children’s activities will be available and each child will be able to pick out one pumpkin to take home – all included in your ticket price! Meet Farmer Brown, enjoy refreshments served by Mrs. Brown, get your face painted, watch the balloon artist make your balloon animal or hat right before your eyes, pet a real live farm animal, visit with our friendly Scarecrow, and “pick” a pumpkin to take home!

Trains depart from Tavares Station located at 305 East Ruby Street.  This 75 minute round trip is great entertainment for the whole family!

October 28 & 29

Departures from Tavares at 4:00 pm and 5:45 pm

Adults and seniors – $23.50 plus tax and handling fee

Children ages 2-12 – $15.50 plus tax and handling fee

Children under 2 not occupying a separate seat are free
