In a glimpse:
I am – A 40ish mother of 3 teens, wife, budget conscious family manager, UCF graduate, entrepreneur, teacher, photographer, event planner, young entrepreneur coach, Foodie, Coffee & wine enthusiast, believer in healthy cooking, dog owner, DYI re-purpose addict, home renovator, native Floridian, outdoor adventurer, community volunteer, and plant growing challenged.
The “why” I can trace back to a dream that began in the late 80’s, as UCF student, when a co-worker suggested I check out a small town West of Orlando called Mt. Dora. So I made the drive from East to West. The landscape started to roll with hills, the streets were lined with quaint homes, and the city center looked like something from a postcard – I knew this place was special and I feel in love.
Over the next 20 yrs. I continued to visit during the Christmas seasons, shopped at the Rennigers’ Extravaganzas, stroll the streets at the Art Festivals, or just came for weekends away. Each time I would dream about living in this fantastic place.
I am now excited to say that “dreams do come true”. Today, I am proud to be a resident of Mt. Dora, FL. Honored by Smithsonian Magazine’s “Best Small Towns to Visit in 2014” and “Great Place” in FL by APA of Florida.
